Organisation / Set-Up
Once you have registered your application to take part in the 2012 Top Trumps Tournament for Schools and received your Welcome Pack, you simply need to nominate 1 teacher or member of staff to become the Top Trumps Tournament Representative in your school for the duration of the Programme.

In School Tournament Game-Play

Getting Started
  • Everything you need to get started is included in your Welcome Pack. The Rules on how to play the actual Top Trumps Tournament game can be found in the box itself.
  • Display your Tournament Poster in a prominent place and fill it in as your School Tournament progresses.
Your School's nominated Top Trumps Tournament Representative should arrange for any participating pupils to play the Top Trumps Tournament game over a period of time that suits your school. Each game can be played with a maximum of 6 players (a minimum of 2) – the winners from each group will then go on to play each other in a straightforward elimination process, until you have one outright winner. Your school can play as many, or as few, rounds as you like, but you must end up with a Final for your school and 1 ultimate winner.

You have until Wednesday 29th February 2012 to complete your in-school Tournament and notify us of your School Champion.

Your school's final round will determine who your School Champion is! Your School Champion can then be awarded the Top Trumps Tournament School Champion Certificate (provided in your Welcome Pack).

Notify us of your School Champion
The Top Trumps Tournament Representative in your school must ensure the name and contact email address of the School Champion is emailed to us at: tournamentchamps@toptrumps.com, by Wednesday 29th February 2012. All School Champions will then receive via an email to their Top Trumps Representative, an exclusive username and password that will allow them to compete in the online elimination round.

The Top Trumps Tournament Online Elimination Round
From 01 March 2012, your School Champion will be able to battle it out against champions from other schools across the nation online at: www.toptrumps.com/tournament. They can play at home or at school and can play as many times as they like during March – but only the children who get within the top 12 highest scores will gain a place in the FINAL. The Online Elimination Round will close on 31 March 2012. Children with the top 12 highest scores will be notified via an email to their Top Trumps Tournament Representative.

The Top Trumps Tournament Live Final
All finalists will be invited to attend the Top Trumps Tournament Live Final in London, date to be confirmed. Finalists will be invited to bring along their parents, sibling, friends or favourite teacher to the accompany them at The Final (2 guests per Finalist). Finalists will then battle it out throughout a series of elimination rounds to determine who is the Champion of Champions!
